Work in progress: the gorgeous Fairy Floss ladies & gents!! @fairyflossmtl, she is one of the most creative burlesque performers i have ever seen and she deserves way more attention internationally! . She had performed for my book launch party in Montreal back then and she truly caught my eye with her self-bondage act. Bonding yourself to yourself? I’ve found it so interesting and deep. . She would tie herself up with ropes on a Carla Bruni’s song “ l’Excessive” which gave a very poetic perspective to the act. Shibari is an art i’m eager to draw more often in the future. . A few years ago, you might have seen this picture in your favorite women’s magazine such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, Vogue, and so on! Or on tattoos! Or on Londonian taxis! Or in your perfume shop! Well it was my art ;) i’m so honored that i had been chosen to design the Naughty Alice muse 🌹 👗I was sent the Vivienne Westwood dress to my studio in Montreal back then, shipped in a huge box on a mannequin, to be able to draw it! I had to send it back after the contract (aww!!) but it was so amazing to have this prototype under my eyes to draw! I keep a wonderful memory of this particular commission.
