Aaaaand here it is!!! The “big thing” i wanted to announce a few weeks ago!! ....✨I’m Playboy US magazine’s centerfold pin-up artist ✨!!! This is to me, the holy grail of pin-up art and I am so honored, so happy, so over the moon they came to me! . So i was asked to draw classic pin-up art “à la Vargas” (no pressure here, right?) but with a modern twist and more nudity than what i’m used to, so i hope my usual followers will still like it ;) .For this piece i was asked to draw the spicy playmate @Vendela Lindblom and at first i told myself, “oh jesus. Challenge here. My style is a lot about the way i draw hair, i never drew a bald girl, will i be able to make it a piece of mine that’s recognizable?” And as i got to know Vendela’s personality more, her sarcastic humor, her definitely modern, strong woman soul, i wanted to capture her empowered attitude. People comment a lot about her hair and to be honest my opinion is that she’s so much more beautiful and sexy with this haircut. Couldn’t be otherwise. I had so much pleasure drawing her in this boxing theme!!! By the way her posts hilarious captions on Instagram make my day everyday 😂 follow her! . Work in progress: the gorgeous Fairy Floss ladies & gents!! @fairyflossmtl, she is one of the most creative burlesque performers i have ever seen and she deserves way more attention internationally! . She had performed for my book launch party in Montreal back then and she truly caught my eye with her self-bondage act. Bonding yourself to yourself? I’ve found it so interesting and deep. . She would tie herself up with ropes on a Carla Bruni’s song “ l’Excessive” which gave a very poetic perspective to the act. Shibari is an art i’m eager to draw more often in the future. .
